The rector of Russian Samara State Technical University (Samara Polytech), at the head of a delegation, visited various laboratories of Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) on Monday, October 30, 2023 and met with Prof. Aghamiri, the president of the university.
Prof. Dmitry Evgenevich Bykov, rector of Samara Polytech and Prof. Aghamiri discussed the development of scientific and academic cooperation in a joint meeting in which a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) was signed between the two parties.
Before this meeting, the delegation from Samara Polytech visited the laboratories of Medicinal Plants and Drugs Research Institute, Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Laser and Plasma Research Institute, and Science and Technology Park.
With more than a century of history, Samara Polytech is the largest technopolis (scientific city) in the Volga region. This university is a large scientific and educational center, where students study in different fields, including energy, petroleum and gas extraction, chemistry and petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, transportation, food, defense, as well as information technology, material science and metallurgy, biotechnology and Industrial ecology.
