Maryam Vafaei, a PhD student in Psychology at Shahid Beheshti University, has claimed first place in the "Products" section of the First National Event on New Technologies for Health Promotion.
The winning product, XR Medics, is a suite of cognitive and motor rehabilitation software powered by virtual reality technology. Currently this product is being utilized in over 40 clinics nationwide, this innovative product aims to enhance public health by improving cognitive and motor functions, including attention, memory, hand-eye coordination, and more.
The First National Event on the Role of New Technologies in Health Promotion was organized by Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences in collaboration with the Innovation and Prosperity Fund of the Presidency. The event focused on addressing challenges faced by the elderly and individuals with disabilities, emphasizing technological solutions for prevention and treatment. Held at the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, the event aimed to showcase innovative ideas and existing products that contribute to improving health and enhancing the quality of life for these populations.
