The researchers of Shahid Beheshti University managed to identify the methods of analyzing the therapeutic compounds of honey.
Dr. Minaei, dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, announced this news and added: “Following several years of extensive research by the professors of Shahid Beheshti University about honey and the need to measure the therapeutic power of honeys across the country, the researchers of this faculty finally succeeded in identifying the methods of analyzing the therapeutic compounds of honey and determining the therapeutic power of each type of honey with specialized analyzes.”
Dr. Talebi, head of the laboratory of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, pointed out the importance of the foregoing research and stated: “Pharmaceutical industries are trying to use natural and therapeutic honey in the production of medicines, so the honey industry can help the pharmaceutical industry, and honey can be used in many ways as a supplement to chemical drugs. Therefore, determining the therapeutic power of honeys across the country can help the pharmaceutical industry in times of crisis, such as the shortage of antibiotics and some other drugs.”
