The Persian translation of book “Cancer Bioinformatics’ by Dr. Changiz Eslahchi, professor of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences of Shahid Beheshti University, Mohammad Mahmoudi Gomari, Edris Choupani, Elham Didevara, Zahra Mahmoudi, Mahin Amoupour and Yeganeh Shojaei has been published recently by SBU Press in 272 pages. The book was originally written by Alexander Krasnitz.
Considering the tremendous progress achieved in recent years in the field of high-performance technologies such as NGS and bioinformatics, and the increasing accumulation of biological and diseases data, managing and classifying these data is necessary to facilitate access to them. Thus, various databases have been created to store the resulting information in the field of biology.
Much efforts have been made to understand cancer, and it goes without saying that cancer-related databases provide useful information in the field of the genome and proteome of this disease. The present book is an up-to-date and comprehensive resource in the field of cancer bioinformatics, which examines the databases related to cancer and the way to receive and review its data, the available models and algorithms for cancer data analysis, cancer immunoinformatics and existing methods for targeted development of cancer drugs. The book is a practical resource for researchers, professors and students interested in research in the field of cancer, which focuses on different aspects of cancer bioinformatics, and eliminates the need to review several sources at once.
