Dr. Ahmadreza Mehrabian, associate professor of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology of Shahid Beheshti University and CEO of Arman Shahd Arian knowledge-based company located in the innovation center of the faculty, managed to register several scientific achievements in the field of bee products.
These achievements include patenting and obtaining technical know-how of the production process of bee pollen supplement (nutritional-medicinal) with a certificate of authenticity, health, quality and herbal origin in cooperation with Dr. Hadi Maleki, assistant professor of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, as well as patenting technical know-how of the classification and production of medicinal-therapeutic honey with authenticity, health, quality and herbal origin. The latter knowledge is used for the production of medicinal-therapeutic honeys, and obtaining a license from the Food and Drug Organization is in process. This knowledge was obtained in cooperation with Dr. Saneei, assistant professor of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, the Food and Drug Organization, and universities of medical sciences in the country.
Dr. Ahmadreza Mehrabian, in cooperation with the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran and its Tehran Branch, has managed to record extensive achievements in drafting and writing national and international laws and standards in the field of bee products. In addition, he has proposed the establishment of a bee products research center in Shahid Beheshti University in cooperation with a team of prominent researchers of the country, which is in the process of being approved. Among his needs-oriented activities with regard to communication with the industry in the field of bee products are cooperating with the Food and Drug Organization, private companies, beekeepers and conducting graduate theses on bee products, active membership in the Iranian Beekeeping Association, and membership in the editorial board of the Journal of Iranian Honey Bee Science and Technology.
For the first time in the country, Arman Shahd Arian company supplies honeys with nutritional, medicinal-nutritional and medicinal grades based on comprehensive tests of health, authenticity, quality and plant origin.
