National Iranian Gas Company and SBU sign cooperation memorandum

In order to meet the research needs in the field of hydrogen production from gas, National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) and Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) signed a research cooperation memorandum.
The ceremony for signing a research memorandum between SBU and NIGC with the aim of optimally using the facilities, talents and abilities of SBU in order to meet the research needs of the gas industry in the field of hydrogen production from natural gas was held on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
This research cooperation memorandum was signed on the last day of the 28th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition at the company's booth by Prof. Seyed Mahmoud Reza Aghamiri, president of SBU, and Majid Chegani, deputy minister of petroleum in gas affairs.
One goal of this memorandum is to form a strategic working group to determine, formulate and agree on optimal implementation solutions related to policy making, prioritization and definition of projects based on the needs of the company and medium- and long-term strategic goals.
Another goal of the memorandum is to cooperate for the purpose of determining the feasibility, defining and formulating strategic solutions (achievements of the projects) for the preparation and production of various tools needed by the company in the field of hydrogen production from natural gas.
The mentioned goals are examples of a general platform for meeting the research needs of the subject of this memorandum, and if the solutions agreed by the parties are presented, they can be used to achieve the goals and generalize them.
