The book "Quranic Politics and Governance" written by Dr. Mansour Mirahmadi, Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science of SBU, has been published recently by SBU Press in 272 pages.

In contemporary times in the literature of political research, there is a fundamental shift from politics as government to politics as governance. In this turn, politics has been defined primarily as an activity of public authority. Politics as governance, by this definition, is the process of developing activities that lead to the enactment of mandatory laws and policies in society, the realization of which brings public authority.

Considering the importance of the mentioned turn in the literature of contemporary political research, the present book examines such a concept of politics from the perspective of the Holy Quran throughout four chapters. The topics of the first chapter include explaining the concept of politics and governance, the relationship between politics and governance and the Holy Qur'an as a book of guidance, explaining the combined intratextual and semantic theoretical approach as a theoretical framework, and finally explaining the Qur'an to the Qur'an exegesis in thematic interpretation. The book presents an introduction to the theory of Quranic politics and governance by explaining the "global construction of Quranic politics and governance" based on the explanation of the basic concepts of the Holy Quran in the second chapter, explaining the "cultural construction of Quranic politics and governance" based on the explanation of the value concepts of the Holy Quran in the third chapter and explaining the "religious construction of Quranic politics and governance" based on the explanation of the obligatory and religious concepts of the Holy Quran in the fourth chapter, and finally introducing the "semantic construction of Quranic politics and governance".
