THE (Times Higher Education) announced its latest rankings in the subjects of social sciences, business and economics, law, and education. Seven Iranian universities were ranked among the top in the world.
SBU was ranked second and sixth in the country in the subjects of “social sciences” and “business and economics”, respectively. Accordingly, SBU was ranked second in the fields of geography, politics and international studies and sociology among Iranian universities, and it was ranked fourth in the fields of accounting and finance, and economics and econometrics. SBU was also ranked sixth in the field of business and management.
In these rankings, 795 universities were ranked based on the subject of “business and economics”. This number was 729 in the last year.
The ranking of universities by the subject of “social sciences” is based on their performance in the fields of geography, politics and international studies and sociology. In this subject, the top ranking in the world belongs to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University jointly from the United States.
In the subject of “business and economics”, Times evaluates the performance of universities in the fields of business and management, accounting and finance, and economics and econometrics. In this subject, the first ranking belongs to Oxford University.
