Science and Technology Park of Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), North Drilling Company and Daneshmand R&D Institute signed a tripartite cooperation memorandum to localize and build the first national diesel generator for the Iranian drilling industry.
Simultaneously with the holding of the 28th International Oil and Gas Exhibition, in line with the implementation of the law on production leap and localization of basic equipment of the petroleum industry, the memorandum on the localization and construction of the Iranian first national diesel generator for the drilling industry was signed among the Science and Technology Park of SBU (executive: Makran Maritime Accelerator Company), Daneshmand R&D Institute and North Drilling Company.
This memorandum was signed considering the ability and history of constructing the first local marine diesel engine of 3600 horsepower by Makran Maritime Accelerator Company in Science and Technology Park of SBU in December 2022.
This memorandum was concluded in order to expand the relationship between the university and the industry by using the power of knowledge-based companies and making maximum use of the experiences gained to realize the acceleration of localization and production of bottleneck and advanced equipment in Iran.
