The book "Principles of Earthing Systems in Power Distribution Networks" authored by Dr. Reza Mohammadi, faculty member of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (Power and Control) of Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) has been published recently by Amirkabir University of Technology Jihad Publications in 440 pages.
This book aims at providing comprehensive principles regarding the design, implementation, monitoring and periodic inspections of distribution networks earthing systems. The author has attempted to explain the principles and methods of earthing systems based on the latest international standards in order to create earthing systems in power distribution network facilities, including medium pressure power supply networks, power substation facilities and equipment, and low pressure distribution networks including supplying the power for subscribers and street lighting and safety provision for the operation and maintenance of the lines, equipment and facilities of power distribution networks.
It is worth mentioning that the instruction for distribution networks earthing systems (Tavanir) were compiled as a research project contract with SBU with the cooperation of the working group and committee of Tavanir earthing system in August-September 1402. The manager of this project is Dr. Reza Mohammadi. In parallel with the instruction, its complete guidelines were published under the title of the present book.
